In a four-episode week, we saw the brief return of one old Neighbour and bid goodbye to two others…

Kim continued to doubt Janelle’s fidelity over Bree’s paternity results, and began to wonder if any of the kids were really his. Upset at her husband’s accusations, Janelle confided in Angie and was surprised to find that she believed her, and the sister-in-laws called a temporary truce until they resolved their issues with their respective men. Empowered by Angie’s support, Janelle announced to Kim & Karl that she wanted another DNA test and this time the whole family would be tested.

Paul continued to suspect Izzy of cheating with Ned, especially after Robert planted a sock behind one of the couch cushions at number 22. As Izzy questioned Ned about the sock, he used the opportunity to continue to bait Paul about Izzy, and issue him with more parking tickets. Eventually, Izzy managed to convince Paul that Ned was lying, but he remained unsure when she accused Elle of planting the sock in order to break them up. The residents of Erinsborough struggled to adjust to the new regime at The General Store, especially when many of them were left with food poisoning due to Robert’s evil scheming, which left Paul berating Elle & Dylan over their handling of the situation.

Toadie announced that he was going to Oakey with Stuart to help him out on the farm for a while, but it soon became clear that he was just using it as an excuse to escape his mother, much to Connor’s dismay. After taking advice from Toadie, Stuart called Sindi to ask her to give their marriage another go, in Oakey, and was thrilled when she said yes. Angie was thrilled when Big Kev phoned to tell her that he was on his way to Erinsborough and after a mediation session with Connor & Toadie, they were reunited, and left Ramsay Street in Kev’s big rig, taking Toadie & Stuart with them.

Not everyone was enjoying such fortune in their relationships this week, as Sky & Dylan’s new career paths continued to pull them in separate directions, with her spending more time with Jean-Pierre and him working all hours at Lucinda’s and The General Store. As Sky’s friendship with Jean-Pierre developed, he admitted to her that his real name was John Peter and he hadn’t produced any decent work for 5 years. Relieved that her tutor was finally beginning to like her work, Sky nicknamed him JP.

As Max began to warm to Lyn helping out at number 32, Steph felt increasingly trapped by her mother’s constant fussing, leaving Max trying to prevent Steph from saying something she’d regret. Max was left wishing he’d taken his own advice after Janae overheard him telling Lyn that he wished Boyd were going out with Sacha rather than Janae, which added to the tension in the Hoyland house after Dylan and Stingray barged into to confront Max, telling Boyd as they did so. After getting advice from Stingray, Janae began to realise that she was wrong to try and trap Boyd with a baby and the couple began to resolve the issue. However, when Janae asked Boyd to stay away from Sacha, he still failed to see her issue with his new friend, completely ignoring the sage advice Steph had given him, and the pair parted ways.

After she received some bad press in the Erinsborough News, Karl was shocked when Jenny announced their engagement live on Sky’s radio show in order to save face in her political career, although Sky & Susan saw straight through the ruse.

Also this week, Sky discovered an e-mail from a Russian mail-order bride, Lou was forced to tell her and Harold about his new found internet love, Mishka. As Harold continued to probe his old friend about the woman, he revealed that he had told a few white lies to her, and had offered to pay for her to travel to Australia and marry him. Still feeling a little wary about the situation, Harold told Lou that if he admitted the truth about himself to Mishka, he would pay for her airfare.

Finally this week, Summer celebrated the reuniting of Rachel & Bree, and returned to boarding school. Katya lifted the ban on Stingray & Rachel seeing each other, as long as they were only friends, but struggled to find the balance between parent and cool big sister and ‘Cameron’ began to make a good impression on the residents of Erinsborough, starting with Karl.
