A visit from Shane Warne, a psychotic twin on the loose, a resident nun and two teens turning into Goths, there was a time when the dog running away was news…

After finding Robert packing up the camping gear, Gail, Izzy & Elle questioned him on Paul’s whereabouts and he became increasingly agitated throwing a shovel at them and running away. The SES volunteers went out looking for Paul, but Elle worried they were too late to save him. Meanwhile, Cameron was relieved to hear that the truth was out, but Toadie told him that it would still be difficult to get him released, due to Robert putting his prints on the evidence and his subsequent disappearance. As they continued to search, Paul heard Gail & Izzy’s voices but when his calling out failed to attract attention, Paul used an old photo of him and Gail which Robert had left in the mine, and poked it through a hole in the roof of the shaft, hoping someone would notice it and Gail did. Thinking that Robert dropped it, Gail called out for him, but was relieved to hear Paul answer her. After banging against the side of the shaft to notify Gail of his location, the SES workers rescued Paul and took him to hospital, where he told an already jealous Izzy that he didn’t feel guilty for what Robert had done, and Gail shouldn’t either, as she is a fantastic mother. With Paul & Gail seemingly growing closer by the minute, Izzy questioned Gail about her feelings for Paul and warned her to back off. Meanwhile, Paul took advantage of her Lyn’s good nature and her feelings for him, by one minute flirting with her and the next using her to do his dirty work. After he discharged himself from hospital, but not before kissing Lyn, Paul visited Cameron and promised him that he’d get him out of prison, and seeing the two together, it was clear they were cut from the same cloth, both vowing to exact their pound of flesh from Robert. Unbeknownst to everyone, Robert had already made his way back to Ramsay Street.

As Sister Mary Catherine (Carmella) returned as a volunteer at Erinsborough & District Hospital, Katya explained to her on what had been going on since she was last there and was shocked to hear that Carmella had seen Cameron at St. Luke’s, under the name of Robert Robinson and to discover that she’d told Connor before he left. Realising that no one had heard from Connor since and that Connor hadn’t been paying his share of the mortgage, they began to wonder if Robert had played a hand in his departure. Meanwhile, after praying for Connor’s safe return, Carmella told Ned she blamed herself, and sought comfort in Ned’s arms and as she later offered to help Ned with his career, it seemed clear that the pair were becoming closer.

Janelle tried to get Dylan to tell her about the baby, but he soon realised that someone had already told her the news. He apologised for not sharing it with her, but said he wasn’t ready to be someone’s dad, or if he’ll ever be ready, having been through a similar thing herself, Janelle shared her feelings at becoming a parent so young. Meanwhile, Sky’s morning sickness got the better of her, leaving her relying on ice poles as sustenance and as she transferred to a Graphic design course to help her support herself and the baby, Harold encouraged her to talk to Dylan. As Sky & Harold arrived at the hospital for her check-up with Karl, a fellow expectant mother, told Sky it was good that she had the support of her family, especially her father, but as Sky corrected her that Harold was not her father, the mother jumped to conclusions and assumed he and Sky were a couple. Amused by this, Sky played along with, much to Harold’s confusion and chagrin. Later, Harold asked Karl to talk to Sky about involving Dylan, but having already told Sky she’d manage alone, Karl refused, and then joined in with Sky to wind Harold up with fruity suggestions for the baby’s name. Meanwhile, Stingray was annoyed at Dylan for shirking his parental responsibility and promised to be there for Sky, whilst Janelle shared tips on coping with morning sickness, and swore to stand by her.

Susan told Lyn about her secret relationship with Karl, telling her that she wanted to make sure that they were rock solid before they announced it to everyone. Lyn wondered if she was worried Karl would be unfaithful again, but Susan said no, but it Lyn’s words made Susan worry and after seeing Karl with some female colleagues from the hospital in Scarlet Bar she began to wonder if he would be unfaithful again. Discussing it with Karl, Susan told him that seeing him with those women reminded her of Sarah & Isabelle, and the fear that he might break her heart again is obviously still an issue for her, and wondered where it left them. Karl told her that he’d realised that he wanted out of their marriage because he wanted to feel young again, but Izzy had made him realise what a fool he’d been and told Susan that he adored her and wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. He told her that he had fears to, as he could say honestly that he had never loved anyone else but her, but wasn’t sure she could say the same thing. Susan explained that her feelings for Alex didn’t mean she regretted what had happened in the past couple of weeks, but she was worried about Rachel & Zeke’s reaction. Later in the week, as Karl & Susan struggled to keep their hands of each other and accidentally left the door to Karl’s apartment open, Bree narrowly stopped Zeke seeing catching them together as they called round to watch the football. Slyly, Bree ran the idea of Susan having a new relationship by Zeke, but he said that if Susan really loved his dad, she wouldn’t want anyone else. After finding out that Bree knew, Susan told Karl that they had no choice but to tell Rachel & Zeke the truth.

As Steph took a shift at Scarlet Bar, leaving Max looking after Charlie, she invited Boyd & Janae who had just returned from their honeymoon to dinner later in the week, but Max was less than pleased when he found out and told Steph that Janae isn’t Hoyland material, leaving Steph questioning which of the four of them was being immature. As night of the dinner party arrived, it soon ended in disaster when Boyd harassed his father over his opinions of Janae, but Max told him that he was beginning to warm to Janae after seeing how much she cared for Charlie, hurt by his son’s words, Max left, leaving the Hoylands back at square one.

With Lou about to donate the profits from the sale of “Old 997” to charity, Mishka tried to keep the money for herself, but soon changed her mind when Lou announced that he was donating it to the Shane Warne foundation, and that Shane himself was coming to collect it. Mishka was ecstatic and called the residents of Ramsay Street around to number 24 to make arrangements for his visit, but as Harold refused to allow smoking on his property, Max offered Scarlet Bar and it’s courtyard for the function. As Shane arrived, the residents were star-struck and he thanked them for supporting his foundation, especially Mishka and kissed her on the cheek. Later, she Lou for making her dreams come true, but a heartbroken Lou had to tell her that some men from the Russian consulate had turned up at number 24 wanting to talk to her about a passport irregularity and planned to do a runner in Harold’s car. With Lou supposedly gone, Harold wondered how Lou could stretch their friendship so far, but Sky pointed out that is what friendship is about and Lou would do the same thing for him in a second. As the Russians returned and questioned Harold & Sky on Mishka’s whereabouts, she and Lou returned, having realised how childish running away was and Mishka explained everything. They were relieved when the Russians told them that Mishka could stay and offered take her to the embassy to sort out her papers, but when they refused to let Lou go with her, Harold began to worry. A few hours later, Mishka still hadn’t returned and Lou began to worry and called the Russian Embassy. He was shocked to discover that they hadn’t heard of her and told him that Embassy officials don’t just turn up at people’s houses like that. He soon realised that Mishka had been abducted, and her husband, Igor was most likely to blame.

Also this week, Janae hid Ned’s shirts to help her blog hits, Karl left Oodles ‘O’ Noodles with a little push from Justine, Zeke struggled to keep up as Bree changed her image yet again, Stingray told Rachel they should announce their relationship at her 15th birthday party and after seeing Sky & Stingray talking, Rachel realised that she was the girl he had slept with.
