Fire, car theft and interventions, an action packed week for the residents of Ramsay Street...

Elle set out to ensure that the Lassiter’s development went ahead as Cameron planned and realised that it was up to the mysterious 2% shareholder to ensure that, refusing to let her feelings for Dylan stand in her way. As the board meeting came about, Elle acted as trustee to Mr 2%’s vote and whilst all four shareholders agreed to the instatement of Ned as Lassiter’s personal trainer, it was left up to Dylan to place the casting vote on Cameron’s redevelopment plans and much to the surprise of Loris & Elle, he sided with the Robinsons, leaving his grandmother infuriated and refusing to listen to Dylan’s reasoning that it would make them money down the track and his compromise of only agreeing to the new corporate rooms and the multimedia conference centre, not the reworking of the exterior of the hotel. Later, over a meeting to discuss menu ideas for Lassiter’s, Dylan & Elle found themselves drawn closer together and kissed again.

Steph was shocked to find evidence of someone being in number 32, having done the laundry and taken the shopping list, and was convinced that it was Max, however, was disappointed but delighted to see Summer walk through the door, having left Gillard. Later though, a few words from Toadie convinced Steph that it was wrong to let Summer throw everything away out of some sense of responsibility to her family. Meanwhile, in an attempt to cheer their friend up, Bree & Rachel enlisted the help of Steph & Janae who borrowed a convertible from the garage, and the five drove off into the sunset like ‘Thelma & Louise’ and afterwards, with a newly-returned Lyn’s help, Steph convinced Summer not to sacrifice her happiness just to be there for her and she returned to Gillard, but not before Stingray shared the news that he’d seen Max. However, the troubled teen caused the Hoylands further disappointment though as he realised that he’d lost the note telling Steph that he loved her, and after learning he’s been in an alcohol induced sleep believe him. In a random scene at number 26, a house in which neither of them live, with Stingray staying at Lassiter’s, Toadie berated Stingray for his actions and told him to get out of the house.

Harold discovered Stingray passed out on his hotel room floor and refusing to listen to his self-pity and his blaming other people, told the troubled teen to sort his life out for Sky’s sake and for the sake of their baby. However, after giving Harold the slip, Stingray borrowed $100 from Janae on the pretence of buying a present for Sky and used it to get wasted in Scarlet Bar. Meanwhile as Mishka announced Stingray’s problem to Janelle the worried mother tried in vain to contact her son and was shocked to learn that he’d checked out of Lassiter’s. As Janelle called the family together for an intervention at The General Store, and used Janae to lure Scott there, she was disappointed when Dylan refused to be involved. The intervention failed to convince Stingray that he had a problem and convinced that his family had turned against him said some harmful things to those who tried to help him, one by one, Harold, Janelle, Janae, Rachel and finally Bree, who he turned upon, saying that he shouldn’t have expected loyalty from her, as she wasn’t even his real sister.

Meanwhile, Sky admitted to Teresa that she knew the truth about her family and told her that she’d never judge her, however, whilst Sky was asleep, Teresa spoke to the baby in her womb, telling it that it wouldn’t be long until she could take it way from them and it would be safe, with her as it’s mummy. Meanwhile, Sky headed to Lassiter’s to see Stingray, but after a mix up at reception, ended up at Dylan’s door and was shocked to find him and Elle in a state of undress, so shocked it sent her into premature labour, leaving Teresa berating Sky for putting her baby at risk. Worried for Sky and the baby, Karl called in Dr. Olenski to try to stop the labour; however, with the maternity ward full, they had to leave Sky where she was. As the contractions continued, Sky wished that her mother was with her and was comforted when Harold assured her that she was and that she would have been very proud of the strength she’s shown, just as he did, Sky’s waters broke, leaving the doctors with no choice but to deliver the baby.

A smitten Rosetta wrote of her love for Will in her diary, but continued to help Carmella to impress Will by teaching her to prepare a home-cooked Italian feast. As Rosetta put a pan of water on the boil for the polenta, Will harmlessly complementing her left her embarrassed and she quickly excused herself, however as she left, Will sponged a lift to Scarlet Bar to buy a bottle of wine to accompany the meal. After waving Rosie & Will off, Carmella noticed Teresa coming down the driveway of number 24, wearing her orderly uniform and tried to stop her. A chase ensued into number 30 where Carmella realised that Teresa was trying to steal Sky’s baby and a desperate Teresa threw the pan of hot water over Carmella, and headed to the hospital. As Will returned to the street, he headed over to number 24, but after getting no answer from Carmella, began to think that he’d been stood up. Returning home, he was shocked to find Carmella in agony on the kitchen floor surrounded by water and the empty saucepan.

At the hospital, Teresa stole a lighter that had been left at the nurses’ station and snuck into Karl’s office where she began screwing up his papers, piling them on the desk. As the fire alarm sounded and the lights began to dim, the doctors and patients began to worry. Investigating the matter, Karl was taken aback to discover that the hospital was on fire and began evacuating the patients and visitors. As he returned to Sky however, he pretended that everything was fine, trying to keep her as calm as possible. Outside, Loris, Janelle & Janae were shocked to see Will arrive with a scalded Carmella in his arms and as the elder Timmins women went with Will to find help, Janae looked on helplessly as she saw Stingray run into the burning building. Meanwhile, Sky gave birth to a beautiful, baby girl, whom she named, Kerry, and with the fire contained to the East Wing, the mother and child were evacuated to a different, more modern part of the hospital, but as she left, Sky spotted Teresa and began to worry for her child, rightfully so as she arrived at her hospital room to discover that baby Kerry was missing.

Mishka stepped things up a gear in her bids for Lou as she sent Janelle a bouquet of flowers with the message “With very many love, your husband, Kim”, however, Dylan soon saw through the poorly written card, and Janelle prepared to pay her back, a note from Igor to Lou, accompanied by a bullet, warning him to stay away from his wife. Scared, Lou told Mishka that they were incompatible and despite her protests that them being like “pork & cheese” made them so good together, asked her to go. Mishka soon realised the note was from Janelle and as Bree & Janae convinced their mother to let Lou go as she clearly didn’t love him as much as Mishka did, the airhostess mistook Lou & Janelle saying goodbye as them affirming their love. Eventually, Lou managed to explain and the pair headed off to the hospital to see Sky.

Also this week, Bree & Rachel found old pictures of Pepper in Susan’s Erinsborough High year books and decided to use them and Pepper’s poetry to their advantage. However, as Toadie uncovered their weak little prank, he set out to teach them how to really put a plan into action. The prank failed, however, as Pepper wasn’t in school that day, and Susan soon got to the bottom of things after discovering that someone had been looking at her yearbooks and put one back in the wrong place and threatened her step-daughter with payback.

Rachel wasn’t the only Kinski worried about payback as Guy, a face from Katya’s past returned to haunt her, demanding $10,000 or he’d show the police just what she used to get up to. She soon set about stealing cars to order but it soon became clear that she was enjoying it.

Finally, Susan was elated when she learnt that Billy & Anne were going to make her a grandmother again and decided to use the leave she was owed to go and see them. However she revealed to Lyn that she was worried to leave Karl alone with the kids, and that she would ‘miss him’ too much, as she struggled to sleep whilst he was away visiting Libby.
