Pepper was stunned when Frazer admitted that she was right and he was really George Brown, the brother of Rosetta’s former fiancé, but as she tried to tell her friend the truth, she couldn’t get the words out and pushed Frazer to do it himself. Meanwhile, Max took Steph on a ballooning adventure in the Yarra Valley to try and save their marriage, but after learning from Karl that Steph loved him, Toadie set out to intercept them, with the help of Janae. However, Janae’s endless toilet stops ended up with Toadie leaving her at the side of the road. The balloon ride made Steph realise that she still loved Max, leaving Toadie heartbroken, however Max worried that he was Steph’s second choice and released her from her vows, but Steph told Toadie that she couldn’t throw away what she had with Max asking if they could leave it as friends, but Toadie wanted all or nothing.
Meanwhile, Toadie moved back into number 28 and was amused to see that other than Susan’s surname, nothing had changed as Karl took to reading philosophy books instead of helping Susan with the chores and Springsteen’s incessant crowing aggravated Dahl, Audrey, Susan and the neighbours. As Karl tried to bring him into the house to train him not to crow, Susan told him that if he wanted somewhere dark to keep him, she had a few suggestions.

It was a busy week for Tim Collins & Associates as Katya received a suspended sentence at her court case after helping to send Guy and his friends to Prison for a very long time, whilst Janae won her case against Rex Colt and won $10,000 compensation, but decided to donate the money to the Centre Against Sexual Assault as many girls aren’t as lucky as she was. Meanwhile, Toadie took control of Max’s court case from Rosetta, pointing out that she was just an article clerk and he was in charge and telling her that if she didn’t like it she could find a new clerkship. In a meeting in preparation for the trial, Toadie asked Katya to do him a favour at the hearing, something she had a feeling that wasn’t completely above board. At the trial, the memory of hitting Cameron with his car ran through Max’s head as Katya testified, saying that Max was only trying to save her and wasn’t capable of maliciously harming anyone. However, the opposition built a strong case, pointing out that Katya wasn’t in any real danger on the day Max hit Cameron with his car and getting Max to admit that he deliberately swerved his car towards Cameron. Things started to look good for Max though as Elle testified that she no longer blamed him for Cameron’s death as he was only trying to protect Katya.
Ned’s gambling got worse as he borrowed money off his mum to pay off a loan from Stuart, and stole $500 from the till at Scarlet Bar to bankroll a trip to the casino, leaving Frazer who had taken on Will’s shifts at Scarlet Bar under suspicion. It should be noted that this is the same Scarlet Bar that had security cameras which captured Izzy & Ned at it in the office, but nevertheless Ned returned the money, putting it at the side of the till, leaving Max thinking it was there all along and apologising to Frazer by offering him a permanent job.

Dylan & Rosetta tried to get information out of Elle & Carmella over Will’s sudden departure and his big secret, but Paul let slip to Rosie that Will owned 16 hotels and let her know the whole truth, whilst Elle told Dylan that Will was born with six nipples. With the help of Sky, Dylan set out to find out if it was true and if it ran in the family with Oliver. Unfortunately, Harold who was supposed to be meeting the new parents at the Bar saw them touching up Oliver and decided not to hand over Kerry just yet. Meanwhile, Frazer was stunned to learn from Oliver that he was a Barnes and that Will was Sebastian Barnes and pushed Oliver to claim back his stake in the company, whilst Harold’s bad back put Kerry in danger as a pain in his back caused him to let go of Kerry’s pram, leaving her hurtling towards the road. Luckily, Ringo managed to save her before disaster happened, but Harold made him promise to keep it a secret. Upon returning home, Harold explained why he hadn’t met up with them as arranged and Sky & Dylan pointed out to Harold that they were Kerry’s parents and it wasn’t up to him if they should look after Kerry or not.
Carmella & Rosetta were shocked to receive a letter from their father asking them to visit him in prison as he was dying and didn’t have long to live. Rosie was sure he was lying, but Carmella wanted to visit, each making their own way there, surprised to see the other. Rosetta was angry to learn that Rocco was indeed lying, but he said he called them there because it was a matter of life and death. Rocco’s brother, Ray wanted to take the chance to ruin them over what Carmella did to Teresa and Rocco asked them to save the business using the $200,000 he had buried in a park near their family home. Furious, Rosetta dragged Carmella away telling her sister that they were not going to have anymore to do with him, but Carmella set out to prove herself to her father. Unfortunately for Carmella, Rosetta had beaten her to the money, telling her that she’d given the money to the police blue ribbon foundation. Meanwhile, Carmella was thrilled when Oliver offered to help, but they were both shocked to learn that as he had signed everything over to Will he wasn’t able to claim it back.

As Steiger struggled to cope with Janelle’s public displays of affection, Janelle told him that love means not having to pretend and being completely honest about who you are, and so Steiger set out to bare all. Janelle was stunned when Allan revealed himself as a closet model train enthusiast, whilst Ringo & Frazer revealed the same. Meanwhile, Pepper was jealous of Janelle’s relationship with her father, and her taking part in something that used to be a father/daughter pastime.
Also this week, Boyd was shocked to learn that Glenn Forrest was coming to Erinsborough to stay with her childhood friend, Elle Robinson and pleaded with Elle to stop her coming as it’d destroy his relationship with Janae. Pepper called around to number 22 to collect a cheque from Paul for the school blogzine and ended up kissing him in a bid to prove that she wasn’t attracted to him, but in the end proved the opposite. Sky was disappointed when she failed to win the bid to make a bust for Lassiter’s ordered by Janelle to wind up Paul, but elated when her alter ego, Jeremy Raft won the bid.
Finally, Toadie convinced Katya to apply for a job as Medical Aide to the Adelaide Crows. A besotted Ringo raved about Rachel and Frazer set out to give the number 30’s kitchen a mini makeover, whilst after five years on Ramsay Street, Boyd finally realised that living there was like having 50 different parents.
Notes: Episode 5138 finally put paid to the speculation by fans over the inclusion of a hot air balloon in the opening titles some 52 episodes earlier, given the relevance of the plane it had replaced. Rumours that the exit of Lyn Scully was going to include her being shot (or short) in a hot air balloon were strengthened by this, however it now seems that it was as a symbol of Max & Steph’s relationship, hence it appearing just behind them in the titles. Even if it was only there for decorative effect in the background, many fans were elated to see it finally appear.
Episode 5141 saw Robert Forza reprise his guest role of Rocco Cammeniti almost three years after he was last seen.
Episode 5142 mistakenly credited Adam Hunter as Robert Robinson, despite him not appearing in the episode.
