Karl turns away as Olivia Bell falls down the stairs at Erinsborough High... Olivia tries to blackmail Susan into contributing to her book in exchange
for retracting her police statement against Karl... Bea encourages Karl and Susan to agree to Olivia's offer... Mackenzie and Yashvi try to keep busy...
Ned shows Yashvi an apartment, suggesting they move in together... Ned asks Yashvi about her plans to move to Sydney...
Yashvi arrives at the Waterhole to speak to Ned. He tells her Mishti said she'd be happy to vouch for Yashvi if she was able to find a transfer to Sydney.
Yashvi would have preferred Mishti not to have said anything, and tries to assure Ned it was just something she was looking into for her future as the rest
of her family will be there. She hoped Ned would jump at the chance to move with her, but he feels his commitments are based in Erinsborough. Terese
interrupts briefly, putting an end to Ned and Yashvi's discussion.
..
In the Kennedy garden, Karl, Susan and Bea are waiting on Olivia Bell to discuss her previous offer. Hendrix walks Olivia into the garden checking she
has been invited, and assures Karl and Susan he is inside if they need him. Bea confirms to Olivia that they are willing to cooperate with her new book as
long as she withdraws her statement. Olivia asks if that includes contributions from Sheila and David, which Bea confirms it does. The deal is not as simple
as it first appears, as Olivia expects a number of interviews to be conducted prior to the withdrawal to ensure they do not back out of the agreement, as
they did previously. Karl is quick to remind Olivia of the stress Susan experienced, but in hoping to fulfil the agreement, Susan agrees to the interviews.
Next door at number 26, Dipi, Shane, Mackenzie and Sheila are also in the garden. When she arrives they ask Yashvi if she's spoken to Ned and what her
plans are. Shane and Dipi offer to pay for Yashvi's flights, as well as Ned's if he decides to go, but she would rather make sure her parents successfully
get to Sydney first. Throughout their conversation, Mackenzie increasingly looks more upset at the idea of more people leaving.
..
On the street, Karl and Susan are telling Toadie about their deal with Olivia. He is very discouraging and explains that even if she withdraws her
statement, there is no guarantee Karl won't be charged. Susan is willing to take the risk for Karl. Shane and Dipi arrive and guess the conversation
is regarding Olivia. Susan changes the subject asking how their packing is going, and reminds them it is time for their new chapter to start. Shane and
Dipi then say their goodbyes to Karl and Susan.
Bea thanks Sheila at the Waterhole for agreeing to speak to Olivia. Sheila thinks they have made the right decision collaborating with Olivia, based off
her belief that Karl would not last five minutes in prison. Although, she suggests there could be a better option as Olivia can't write the book without
their input but they could write one without her.
..
In Harold's, Mackenzie is on a video call with Jay Rebecchi. She tells him how much she will miss Dipi and Shane, but hopes she'll be able to visit them
all in Sydney. Mackenzie is disappointed at Jay's lack of enthusiasm at the idea of her visit.
In the Lassiters complex, Bea and Sheila are sharing their idea about writing a book with Susan, who sees it as a possibility. Susan doesn't want to get
Karl's hopes up and decides not to tell him until they have more information. Meanwhile, Shane, Dipi and Yashvi are standing outside Harold's, Dipi suggests
that Shane creates a bush ballad to mark their move to Sydney:
'Than this complex named for Jack Lassiter, there never was a place in the world more placid-er. And we'd love to stay, and maybe we'll come back another
day, but for now we must go my love and I, and with sadness deep we say a dear goodbye'.
Shane realises Yashvi is still thinking about Ned, and suggests she gives him a break after she dropped her potential move to Sydney without any notice.
Sheila then joins them to exchange goodbyes. As Dipi becomes upset saying a farewell to Sheila, Gary the pigeon lands on a nearby table.
..
At number 28, Mackenzie asks Hendrix if she can hang out for a bit. Karl can be heard playing his guitar, which Hendrix tells Mackenzie is his form
of therapy. He suggests playing a video game to distract Mackenzie from thinking about Shane and Dipi leaving.
In the Waterhole, Bea tells Sheila about her meeting with Olivia's commissioning editor, who was keen of her idea. Olivia phones Bea and is angry
that she has been double crossed with her own publisher. Bea reiterates that the story is her life and she has the right to decide how it is shared.
Olivia says she wants to speak to Susan, and Bea replies she will organise a meeting.
..
Ned runs into Yashvi in Harold's, where they exchange apologies after their previous chat. He acknowledges they have things they need to discuss but
wants Yashvi to concentrate on her family, promising to be there for her. Shane and Dipi watch on happily in the background.
Hendrix and Mackenzie have finished playing videos games. Mackenzie shares how she is dreading Shane and Dipi leaving as she sees them as parents.
Hendrix welcomes her to the 'Ramsay Street orphans club', and encourages her to share her struggles.
..
At number 30, Shane and Dipi are spending some time with Toadie, Nell and Hugo, and saying their goodbyes. They thank Toadie for his support over the
last year, to which he replies 'You're my brother', and goes on to thank them for their support after losing Sonya.
Susan and Bea are meeting Olivia outside the Waterhole. Olivia shares her doubts over Susan and Bea being able to write a successful book, especially
in comparison to her known success. Bea points out their names are also known due to Olivia's previous book, but is willing to drop their plans if she
withdraws her statement. Across the complex, Karl and Hendrix are walking by when they notice Susan, Bea and Olivia. Unaware of what is being discussed,
Karl expresses concern over Susan's wellbeing in order to help him, and shares he would rather go to jail than see Susan suffer because of Olivia. Thanking
Hendrix for trying to help, Karl says he needs some time alone.
..
..
On Ramsay Street, Shane and Dipi are preparing to leave. First, they say their final farewell to Mackenzie, promising to always be there for her. Next
is Yashvi, who they praise for following her dreams. Ned settles Clancy the dog into the car, as Sheila, Toadie, Nell, Hugo, and Mackenzie share their
final hugs with Dipi and Shane. Everyone waves them goodbye as they drive out of the street.
..
Susan and Bea follow Olivia as she makes her way to the police station. Olivia does not want them to follow her in. They discuss the negative impact
the situation is having on Karl.
Karl is standing by the lake looking upset as he thinks. He hears Bea's voice saying 'Nobody's gonna do anything stupid'.
..
In Lassiters, Hendrix checks that nobody's looking and enters Olivia's hotel room.
Susan asks Bea if she thinks Olivia will go through with the statement withdrawal.
..
Back in the hotel room, Hendrix begins to look through drawers and paperwork.
