Written by Elizabeth Packett, Directed by Tony Osicka, Produced by Andrew Thompson

10: 25/09/24, Amazon: 25/09/24

Justin catches Melanie and Toadie going through Tess's paperwork... Holly asks Karl about the bag of compost where she'd been hiding the stolen money, horrified when she finds out that it's been thrown away... Holly receives texts from Justin demanding the money back... Holly tells Karl and Susan that she's selling her new car... Toadie announces that he wants to move to Colac... Terese asks Nell if she thinks that a long-distance relationship with JJ will work... Nell and JJ decide to try and make it work... Terese admits that she never wants to see Toadie again... Melanie tells Toadie that he needs to forgive himself... Melanie suggests to Terese that she should attend Toadie's farewell party...

As Toadie prepares to go inside number 28 for his party, he stops and looks around the street, remembering many of the happy moments from his time there, including moving in with the Kennedys, living at the House of Trouser, meeting both Dee and Steph, and Nell's birth. He then smiles to himself and heads into the house.

In the back garden, Karl, Susan, Nell and Hugo are preparing for the party, and Karl tells the kids that he's planning to make a pizza in tribute to Toadie's time in the House of Trouser. Nell is amused but Hugo doesn't understand, so she explains to her little brother that it was when their dad and his housemates used to sit around all day in their undies. Karl says that he'll be making a meat lovers and a vegetarian pizza in honour of Sonya. As Toadie then arrives with a gift for Karl and Susan, they quickly make their excuses to leave, leaving Toadie a little taken aback.

At the hospital, Nell and Hugo are saying their goodbyes to Terese, with Hugo telling her that, even though she can't cook, she always orders the best takeaways. Terese says that she's going to miss them both so much and that it's been a privilege to be their stepmom, and Nell apologises for the way she behaved when Toadie and Terese first got married. Terese insists that she couldn't be prouder of the gorgeous young woman that Nell has become, adding that Hugo is gorgeous too and telling them both that she'll always be there for them. Hugo then asks if that means that Terese will come to their farewell party - Nell tells him off for asking and Terese says that she's still not feeling great, so she doesn't think it's a good idea.

In number 28's back garden, Toadie is looking at photos from his wedding to Sonya in the Ramsay Street History Book. He's interrupted by the arrival of Harold, who realises that Toadie is finding it all quite difficult. Harold reminds him that nobody ever truly leaves Erinsborough and, as a case in point, Gino Esposito is moving into Eirini Rising. As he jokes about Gino having them all singing show tunes in no time, Harold suddenly gets serious, apologising to Toadie for the way he's treated him over ending his marriage to Terese. He says that he's realised that it can't have been easy for him to walk away from Terese and disrupt the children's lives, and that he only lashed out because he was worried for Terese. Toadie says that he understands, admitting that he needs to get his head together before he even considers entering into another relationship, hugging Harold as he offers his full support. More guests - Jane, Aaron, Krista and Leo - then arrive, wearing Hawaiian shirts and bowling shirts, with Harold opening his jacket to reveal that he's also come dressed in a loud Hawaiian shirt. Jane jokes about how she'd considered getting an undercut to mark the occasion, and Toadie thanks her, saying that everyone was calling it a mullet for years, but it wasn't.

Inside the house, more people are arriving - Dex, JJ, Melanie and Andrew - adorned with mullets, Hawaiian shirts and Essendon kit. Susan takes some of them outside to see Toadie, as Karl checks on Holly, who seems distracted. She insists that she's fine, while JJ and Nell are interrupted by Melanie, who asks if she can just have a few minutes with Nell and Hugo. She then tells them that she loves them both very much and to call her if they ever need anything. Hugo says that's exactly what Terese said, and Mel gives them both a hug and says that they're very lucky to have both her and Terese. With Karl distracted, Holly checks the ad on her phone, selling her new car, but is disappointed to see that nobody is interested yet.

..

At the hospital, Terese is gathering up her things as Paul arrives to collect her. She tells him that she doesn't want to go home just yet, as Toadie's farewell party is taking place. Paul wonders if she'd like a chance to see him before he goes, but Terese insists that she has nothing left to say to him.

Back at the party, Toadie is thanking Andrew for his friendship and support over the last few years. They hug, as Andrew shares an awkward look with Wendy over Toadie's shoulder. Toadie then goes to try and say a proper goodbye to Karl and Susan again, but once more they make excuses about having to look after the party guests. Harold then approaches Toadie, saying that JJ is such a lovely young man, but wondering if Toadie has reservations about him dating Nell. Toadie admits that he did, but he isn't sure that he does now, and he goes over to JJ, apologising for the way he's treated him lately and inviting him down to Colac for a visit. Nell watches from a distance and smiles, as Dex then goes up to her and asks if they can have a chat.

..

Dex and Nell go inside the house and he says that she was the first friend he made after moving to Erinsborough, so he wants to give her a farewell gift - a drawing he's done of Nell as an anime character. She's touched by the gesture.

At Eirini Rising, Terese is attempting to get some work done as Paul sits and watches her. She tells him that he doesn't need to stay with her, but he says that he doesn't mind - and that she might still decide to go somewhere else. She tells him that, if he has something to say, then to just say it. Paul reminds her that he's done a lot of things that he regrets in his life, but the things that really tear him up are the regrets about things that he didn't do, especially when they might have provided some closure. Terese looks thoughtful as he speaks.

..

Back at the party, Toadie is looking through the History Book again, with Leo and Krista surprised to see photos of the Full Monty. Krista says that she's organising a male revue as a fundraiser at the hotel and Toadie jokes with Harold that this could be his second chance, as he chickened out of taking part in the Full Monty all those years ago. Harold quickly says that nobody needs to see his nether regions! Meanwhile, Wendy notices a worried-looking Holly as she leaves the group, so she goes after her.

Outside the front of number 28, Holly is checking her phone as Wendy comes after her, asking if she's alright. Holly explains that she's regretting buying the car as the repayments are too much for her, so Wendy offers to have a look at the loan agreement. Holly seems confused, so Wendy says that they'd have given her some paperwork if she bought it with a loan - jokingly suggesting that, if she didn't, she might have used all that stolen cash. A shaken Holly says that she'll go inside and look for the paperwork. As she walks off, Justin Ashton is sitting in his car, watching them from down the street.

..

Wendy then returns to the back garden and asks to have a word with Susan, explaining that she's a bit worried about Holly. As they walk off together, Melanie, Krista and Leo are trying to encourage Aaron to take part in the male revue, while Jane is telling Toadie that the street won't be the same without him, though she and Harold admit that Erinsborough always seems to call people back. Jane says that Erinsborough will always be home, as Toadie nods in agreement.

Nell and JJ are sitting on the steps at the front of number 28, and she spots a piece of glitter in the bushes, from Toadie and Mel's wedding day. She picks it up and says that it's just like the first time they met - but now it feels like it's all ending. JJ insists that things are just getting started between them, and they kiss.

..

..

In the back garden, Wendy hugs a slightly bewildered Toadie then walks off, telling Andrew that she needs to go and meet with her tutor. They have an awkward goodbye, while Harold tells Toadie that he'd like to slip away quietly before the final goodbye, as he's already had so many big goodbyes on Ramsay Street. Toadie hugs him and thanks him for coming and, as Harold walks off, Melanie approaches Toadie, saying that she's sorry that Terese didn't show up. Toadie is pleased that he and Mel can part on good terms, and they hug too. Toadie then approaches Susan and Karl, who are starting the clean up and realise that they can't avoid this moment any longer. Susan apologises to him, admitting that they've been dreading saying goodbye, and he hands them a gift - a painting of him as a teenager, done in the same style as the one that they already have of Mal, Libby and Billy, painted by Helen Daniels. Toadie tells them that he has a lot to thank them for, and Karl remembers how he thought Toadie was a terrible influence on Billy, while Susan says that she could see his potential when she was teaching him. They remind him that, although things haven't been easy lately, he's a wonderful father and friend with a great sense of humour, and he always picks himself up in the end.

A little later, out on Ramsay Street, JJ and Nell are saying their final goodbye and he says that he'll call her that night, before they kiss. Everyone else is gathered and waiting, as Susan, Karl and Toadie emerge from the house. Toadie says that he doesn't want to drag it out, telling them that he loves them all. As he goes to get into the car, he's surprised to see Paul pull up in his car, with Terese in the passenger seat. She gets out and approaches him, and Toadie admits that he didn't think he'd see her again. She says that Paul convinced her to come and she wishes Toadie well, before kissing him on the cheek. He says that this means everything to him, and he, Nell and Hugo then get into the car, surprised as Andrew suddenly comes running over, dressed in Toadie's Lawman wrestling outfit. Hugo says that it's the best. Their friends all then line up along the sides of the car and set off streamers and air horns, which Hugo again says is the best. The final surprise comes as Leo, Karl and Aaron - in true House of Trouser style - pull down their trousers and stand in front of the car in their underwear. Hugo says that this is the best too, and, as they drive away, Toadie says that it's all been the best - "Every single glorious second"

Later, at number 28, various party guests are all chatting about how strange it's going to be, not having Toadie around in the neighbourhood. Melanie notices that Terese looks distracted and asks her how she's holding up. She insists that she's fine, but just tired, so Paul offers to walk her home, but Jane quickly jumps in and says that she'll do it. Aaron asks if anyone wants to join him for a final drink at the Waterhole before closing - Holly decides to go, so Susan offers to go with her.

..

As Aaron, Paul, Susan and Holly walk into the bar, they're followed by Justin. With Paul and Susan deciding what they want to drink, Holly spots Justin and goes over to him, saying that she knows that he wants his money and she will get it to him, but she needs time. Justin says that he wants his money now, at which point Holly attempts to run, but he grabs her. Aaron then steps in and punches Justin, who then pulls a gun from his pocket and tells Aaron, Holly, Paul and Susan that none of them are leaving until he gets his cash.
