Paul annoys Krista by giving Nicolette the job of manager at Harolds... Paul tells Krista that he hired the best person for the job... Byron sees Quinn
and Wendy together, hugging, and tells Sadie... Wendy tells Andrew that she only met with Quinn to tell him that she couldn't see him anymore... Wendy
tells Andrew that she needs to go and meet her mentor... Holly steals money from Heath's locker... Holly shows off the new car she's bought... Holly
receives text messages demanding the money back... Holly realises that Justin is the one blackmailing her and asks Melanie about him... Justin turns up
at the Waterhole and tries to grab Holly, but Aaron punches him... Justin pulls out a gun and tells Holly, Aaron, Paul and Susan that they're not going
anywhere until he gets his money back...
Paul tells Justin to calm down and they can work something out, but Justin warns that he'll shoot Holly if anyone tries anything. He says that nobody
leaves until he gets his money and asks Holly where it is. She says that she doesn't have it, so Paul says that he can get Justin whatever he needs.
Justin then angrily says that what he needs is for Paul to shut up and he gets Aaron to lock all of the doors, warning him not to do anything stupid.
With Justin distracted, Susan attempts to get her phone from her bag, but he spots her and asks what she's doing.
 ..
Aaron, meanwhile, locks the main door into the pub.
Justin demands that everyone take out their phones and put them on the table in front of him.
 ..
At number 32, Nicolette receives a message saying that one of the casuals has gone home sick, so she needs to go to Harolds and close up. She asks Krista
if she can keep an eye on Isla for twenty minutes or so and Krista reluctantly agrees. Nicolette says that she's still getting used to being back working
at the cafe and insists that she'll be quick.
Back at the Waterhole, Justin is pushing furniture up against the doors, as his hostages sit together and talk. Aaron wants to know who Justin is, so Holly
explains that he was the one who was working for Tess and Heath, and that he kidnapped Toadie and Mel. Susan is horrified as she realises that Holly has
been using stolen money to buy so much stuff recently.
 ..
Outside, as Nicolette walks into Harolds, Leo is walking towards the Waterhole, surprised to find it locked. He sees that there are still some people
sitting in the beer garden, so he tries calling to find out what's going on.
Inside, Justin goes over to the phone as it starts ringing, trying to work out what to do.
 ..
Leo gives up as nobody answers, then tells a passing Andrew what's going on.
As Andrew starts trying the door, Justin tells them all to keep quiet, growing increasingly annoyed as the phone starts ringing again, eventually throwing
it across the room.
 ..
Leo and Andrew hear the noise from outside, and Andrew starts knocking on the door, saying that it's the police.
Justin continues to keep them all silent as Andrew knocks on the side door. Paul tells him that the police won't just go away and that he needs to take
control of the situation. Paul then asks Holly how much of the money is left, but she explains that the last of it was accidentally thrown away with the
potting mix where she was hiding it, so Paul tells Justin that he needs to come up with a new plan. Paul says that Justin needs to talk to the police and
then takes his phone and calls Andrew, who is still outside with Leo. Paul explains that he, Susan, Holly and Aaron are inside with Justin Ashton, and
Andrew immediately asks if Wendy is in there too. Paul says that she isn't, and Andrew then asks what Justin wants. Paul looks to Justin, telling him that
they can now negotiate. Justin, who has been silent until this point, says that he just wants everyone to shut up before he's forced to hurt someone, and
he takes the phone from Paul and hangs up. Paul is then forced to sit back down with the others, as Susan begs with Justin, saying that they all just want
to go home. Justin says that he does too, and that if anyone's to blame for this whole situation, it's Holly.

As the police set up outside the Waterhole and cordon off the area, Andrew is filling in Senior Sergeant Tony Thompson on the situation so far. Thompson
is worried that they have no sight lines, so they have absolutely no idea what's going on inside the building. Sadie, Terese and Karl then show up, all
wanting to know what's going on inside. Andrew tells them that they have no reason to believe that Justin has hurt anyone, and tells Sadie that Wendy is
with her mentor, so there's no reason to worry about her.
Inside the Waterhole, Holly suddenly stands up, asking Justin to put the gun down so that they can work things out. Justin tells her that she shouldn't
have stolen from him, as Susan and Aaron encourage Holly to sit down again. Aaron whispers to her that Justin is too jumpy and they can't do anything too
risky, suggesting to Susan that she should try and get out, next time Justin is distracted. He explains that there's a staff exit through the kitchen. On
hearing this, Paul stands up and tries to keep Justin occupied, telling him that he owns the whole complex and he can get him all of his money back, twice
over. Paul says that he has connections, but Justin tells him that he also knows people and he knows what those people will do to him if he doesn't pay his
debts. He says that Paul's connections can't do anything, and the police aren't going to magically disappear. Paul then tells him that he needs to keep
talking to the police, at which Justin loses his temper and throws Paul against the tables and chairs. Aaron then helps Paul up from the ground, as Holly
and Susan look on in horror.
 ..
Outside, Leo joins Karl and Terese, whilst Sadie tells Byron that her mum isn't answering any of her calls. Byron is sure that everything will be fine
and that Wendy probably just has her phone on silent while she's with her mentor. Meanwhile, Krista is at home, speaking to Nicolette on the phone and
telling her that she needs to be at Lassiters to help. Nicolette says that she needs to be there too, for Aaron, and tells Krista to take Isla over the
road to Jane's place. Felix then arrives at the complex, listening as Andrew tells Thompson about Justin Ashton's history and how he's looking at a definite
stretch in prison so he has nothing to lose. Felix suggests that he could go in, in exchange for one of the hostages, and use a hidden camera to help them
keep an eye on things. Andrew insists that nobody else is going inside. Felix, however, ignores this and sneaks around the side entrance of the building.
Inside, Holly notices someone at the staff door and watches as Felix creeps in and hides behind the bar. Justin looks behind him as he hears a noise and
Holly quickly distracts him by asking for her jacket. Meanwhile, Felix finds and puts on an apron and sends Andrew a message saying that he's inside the
Waterhole and to take his call on mute. Andrew looks annoyed, but he answers as Felix puts his phone on the bar, allowing the police to listen in and start
recording. Paul, meanwhile, is trying to get Justin talking again, asking why he still hasn't tried to negotiate with the police. Holly says that the police
will understand that he just wanted his money and that Heath messed with both of them, but Justin turns on her, saying that Heath should have finished her
off when he had the chance. Susan angrily starts to defend Holly, at which point Felix decides to make his presence known, knocking over some cutlery as a
distraction. The other hostages are surprised to see him and he quickly says that he works in the kitchen and he didn't know what to do. Justin tells him
to get out from behind the bar and asks for his phone, which Felix says is in his locker.
 ..
Outside, Terese notices that the armed police are gathering and preparing to enter the building. Thompson listens as Felix says that he just wants to get
back to his family and he doesn't want any trouble. Thompson tells Andrew that Felix is putting everyone inside the building at risk by behaving so
recklessly.
Back inside, as Justin forces Felix to empty his pockets, the others realise that one of them has time to escape. Aaron tells Holly to go, but she says
that this is all her fault and she isn't going to leave, and Susan insists that she won't go without Holly. Told to think about Isla, Aaron realises that
he has to make a run for it and quickly manages to sneak out, as Felix is providing a distraction and insisting that there's nobody else out in the kitchen.

Terese, Karl and Leo are relieved as they see Aaron running from the back of the building.
As Felix is forced to sit with the other hostages, Justin notices that Aaron has gone, becoming angry as Paul, Holly and Susan say nothing. He reminds
them all that he's in charge, pulling out the gun and using it to smash up some glasses on the bar. He then grabs Holly and tells her to tie up the other
hostages, saying that they won't continue to mess with him. Holly finds some gaffer tape, so Justin tells her to tie up their hands behind their backs. As
Paul struggles to get up, Justin loses his patience but as Holly steps in to defend Paul, Justin hits her around the face. He then hands the tape to Felix,
telling him to get everyone's hands tied up. As Felix does this, he whispers to Susan, telling her that the police can hear everything and promising her
that they'll all get out.
 ..
Back outside, Aaron is worried that he's just made everything worse for the others. He says that he tried to get Susan to go, but she wouldn't leave Holly.
Nicolette insists that Aaron did the right thing for his family, and so is Susan. Aaron then explains to Karl that Susan and Holly are ok, and tells Leo
that Paul is the one who's managing to calm Justin down when he needs to. Terese says that Paul is always good in a crisis. Meanwhile, Krista had found the
floor plans to give to the police and Andrew assures her that they'll get all of the hostages out of there.
As the sun comes up, armed police surround the Waterhole, with Justin and his tired hostages still inside.

Karl, Terese, Leo and Krista are still outside, waiting for news, while Nicolette takes a coffee to Andrew, who is then approached by a worried Sadie,
who explains that Wendy didn't come home all night and isn't answering her calls. Andrew's confused as his daughter says that she hasn't heard from Wendy
since the previous afternoon.
Inside the Waterhole, Holly asks if they can have another bathroom break. As Justin unties Susan's hands, Holly mentions that she knows that Justin has a
son, as Melanie told her. Justin tells her that his son is none of her business, but Holly continues, saying that they all understand that Justin never
meant for this to happen and that he needs to talk to the police and find a resolution - for his son. Justin says nothing, but they're all thrown when
they hear a noise coming from the back office. Justin grabs Susan and points the gun, saying that, if it's the cops, then someone is about to die.
 ..
Back outside, the police start to prepare to enter the building.
Justin continues to tell the person to come out, with Susan begging them, saying that Justin is going to shoot her.
 ..
Andrew tells the officers to get ready.
Susan looks over at Felix, who nods at her and looks at the knife on the table, that Justin was using to remove the tape from her hands.
 ..
The police gather outside.
Quinn Lao walks out from the office with his hands up and, with Justin distracted, Felix reaches for the knife on the table.
 ..
Outside, Andrew recognises Quinn's voice and looks worried.
Justin asks Quinn if he's a cop, as Quinn insists that he isn't and that he was alone in the office and too scared to come out. Justin doesn't believe
him, pushing Susan back to join the other hostages and asking Quinn to tell him the truth, as Wendy's voice is heard calling Quinn's name.
 ..
Outside, Andrew is horrified to realise that Wendy is in there, as Thompson asks what's going on. Andrew then freezes.
With Justin pointing the gun at Quinn, Felix jumps up and overpowers him, wrestling him to the floor.
 ..
Everyone outside is stunned as a shot rings out.
Andrew snaps back into action and orders the officers to storm the building.
 ..
As Felix holds Justin down, the police pile into the Waterhole, kicking the gun out of the way and checking that all of the hostages are ok.
 ..
 ..
As worried friends and family wait outside, Holly and Susan are escorted out of the building, much to Karl's relief. They are closely followed by Felix,
who Susan gives a look of gratitude. Terese, Leo and Krista are relieved as Paul walks out next, closely followed by Wendy. Sadie watches from a distance
as her mum approaches her dad, but rather than being happy that she made it out alive, Andrew simply wants to know why she was in there with Quinn.
