Holly and Andrew grow closer... Andrew worries that Holly is alone at the drinks van... Andrew keeps an eye on Holly from the bushes... Karl confronts Terese
about her plans to sell Power Road... Cara chases Gavin Bowman but runs into Remi, who hits her head... At the hospital, Remi tells Cara that the pursuit of
Bowman is stressing her out... Remi has a dizzy spell whilst Terese is visiting her in hospital... The next morning, Remi doesn't recognise Cara...
Dr Stevie Hart is checking Remi and she tells Cara that they don't know why this has happened. Cara doesn't understand why Remi has suddenly forgotten her,
as she knew who she was yesterday after the accident. Remi is relieved when Taye arrives with JJ and Dex - she immediately hugs him, leaving Cara frustrated
that she recognises her brother but not her wife. Stevie calms things down and says that a neurologist will be visiting Remi shortly and will want to do some
tests and Cara asks what she should do. Stevie looks to Remi for guidance, and Remi pulls Taye closer and says that she just wants to be with her family
right now. Realising that this suddenly doesn't include her, an upset Cara leaves the room and Stevie follows, trying to reassure her. Meanwhile, Dex asks
Remi why she can't remember Cara, but nobody has any answers.
..

At Harolds, Max and Holly are upset by the news that Byron and Trevor are leaving, but Nicolette reminds them to keep it to themselves as Jane doesn't know
yet. Just then, Wendy and Andrew walk in - there's immediate tension in the air as Wendy tries to talk to Holly about Bowman, but Holly wants to get away
from Andrew and tries to make excuses to go. Max then brings up the incident at the school with Wendy getting locked in the cupboard and he says that Saskia
was very upset to hear about it, though Wendy doesn't look convinced. Realising that she might be able to use Max to find out more about Saskia, Wendy
suggests that they all sit together and, despite Holly and Andrew's best attempts not to, they all end up sharing the big table.
Back at the hospital, JJ and Dex are quizzing Remi about where they live now and where they lived before and she answers all of their questions, telling
them that she can recall everything about her life, including friends, family and her job, but she has no memory of her own wife. Dex shows her a photo on
his phone, of Remi and Cara, and she says that she can see they're together but she has no recollection of it being taken.
..

In the waiting area, Stevie tells Cara that Dr Tucker, the neurologist, is on her way and will do a series of tests to determine if there are any
abnormalities. Cara says that she could understand this if it had happened straight after the accident but this is almost a day later. Stevie agrees
and tells her that this is very unusual but it could also be temporary, adding that Cara really needs some support right now. Cara decides that she'll
try calling some of the neighbours, then she goes over and looks through the window into Remi's hospital room.
Remi is becoming distressed as Taye, JJ and Dex ask her about whether she remembers being in labour with Dex - she does, but she doesn't recall Cara
being there with her. They then ask about JJ's birth and she says that she remembers him coming home from the hospital but she doesn't remember who gave
birth to him. She insists that she knows that JJ is her son though, before she spots Cara looking at her. She then becomes confused as she looks down at
her wedding ring.
..

At Harolds, Max is telling Wendy that, although it's been a couple of years since he and Saskia lived in the same house, he doesn't recall there being any
problems with her behaviour. He adds that she was always such a happy kid, until the bullying started happening. Andrew and Holly are trying to avoid making
eye contact whilst all this is going on, and Andrew eventually tries to get Wendy to change the subject as she seems to be obsessing over Saskia. Max quickly
asks if there are any updates on Gavin Bowman and Andrew tells him that they can't do much except keep an eye on him. Max isn't impressed but Holly insists
that she's fine with it.
At the Community Centre, Karl is moving his stuff into his new office, telling Terese that there wasn't room for him at the council chambers. As he unpacks
things from his car, she says that she wanted a quick chat about Power Road. Karl says that he's keen for an update, as is Shane, but Terese points out that
she doesn't own that part of the road so it won't affect the garage. Karl thinks that it would affect everyone if she sells to a developer, so she is forced
to admit that the council has accepted her application for rezoning and Rhett is starting to sound out potential buyers. She then tells Karl that there's
more to it and she invites him and Susan over for dinner. Their conversation is interrupted, however, as both of their phones start beeping and they see a
message from Cara.
..

Outside Harolds, Wendy wants to know why Andrew stopped her from talking about Saskia - he says that he didn't think that it was the right time. Wendy
points out that it was Max who brought it up so it seemed like the perfect time, and she's irritated when Andrew doesn't seem interested. Meanwhile, Max
and Holly are leaving the back of Harolds and he's talking about the weird tension in the air during breakfast. Holly says that she didn't notice anything
but, as the pair walk past Wendy and Andrew, Andrew and Holly share a guilty look with each other. Andrew then asks Wendy if she's trying to start a fight
with him, but she says that she's just trying to communicate, as something awful happened to her at work and he doesn't seem to care. As a frustrated Wendy
walks off, Andrew is left feeling terrible.
Outside the hospital, Taye confirms to Cara that he's shown Remi photographs of everyone on his phone, including Chelsea and Thomas, and she remembers
all of them, so the only person she seems to have forgotten is her wife. Cara says that she feels sick and holds herself responsible for all of this, though
Taye tries to reassure her, as Terese and Karl arrive. Cara tells them that there's no news, just as Stevie comes to find them, explaining that Dr Tucker
hasn't found anything physically wrong and has suggested that they contact a psychiatric neurologist, who might be able to find a deeper cause. Taye wonders
if this could be something separate from the head injury and Karl, drawing on his own experience with Susan, tells him that there can be many causes of
memory loss. Stevie says that hopefully the psychiatric neurologist will be able to shed more light, telling Karl that it's Dr Beverly Marshall, someone
he knows.
..

In her hospital room, Dex is telling Remi that she loves Cara and she says that, she understands that and she doesn't think that people are making it up,
but she's clearly becoming frustrated and, when Cara then appears at the window, she asks JJ to close the blinds. JJ reluctantly does so, leaving a tearful
Cara outside on her own.
At no. 26, Wendy has finally seen the message from Cara, as Andrew appears and says that he's just spoken to Terese. They feel bad about being caught up in
their own problems and missing the news about Remi, and Wendy tells her husband that she wasn't trying to start a fight with him earlier. He apologises and
they hug, before he tells her that he genuinely isn't holding a grudge about what happened with Gretchen, before admitting that he's just been a bit
distracted lately. Wendy asks if it's about Holly and Andrew suddenly pulls away from her, until he realises that she's talking about Gavin Bowman and
how Andrew is feeling pressure to protect Holly from him. She says that she understands and is just relieved that things are good between them.
..

At the hospital, Stevie thanks Beverly for coming and Karl says that it's nice to see her again. She agrees, but admits that it's unfortunate that it's
under these circumstances. Karl then asks her if she has any theories and she explains that, after reviewing the case, she's wondering about Remi's emotional
state before the accident and particularly her relationship with Cara. Karl tells her that all of the family are at the hospital so Beverly can talk to them.
Terese then mentions her visit with Remi the previous evening and how she appeared to have a brief moment where she got worked up and became disorientated, so
Beverly asks for more details about that.
In Remi's hospital room a little later, Beverly is chatting to her about how she's feeling. Remi says that she understands what's going on and what people
are telling her and she realises that she had an accident, but she still has absolutely no recollection of Cara, even after seeing all of the photographs of
them together. Beverly then asks about Remi's visit from Terese last night, and Remi remembers it though she can't recall what they spoke about.
..

In a consultation room, Beverly is chatting to Cara about her relationship with Remi. Cara says that things have been fine, mostly normal, though Remi didn't
like her pursuit of Gavin Bowman at work. Beverly says that she's heard about Bowman and the pressure everyone is under and Cara explains that he's a threat
and that's why she had to go after him. Beverly continues by asking if Cara can remember the last conversation she had with Remi before the memory loss. Cara
admits that Remi was upset but says that it was no different to other arguments they've had in the past, then she wonders why Beverly is asking about it.
Taye, JJ and Dex are now chatting to Beverly, and JJ tells her that his mums argue sometimes but so do most couples, with Dex adding that Remi and Cara love
each other. Beverly insists that their love for each other isn't in question but she needs to understand the reasons behind the recent tension. JJ replies
that they were just looking out for each other and Remi was worried for Cara's safety and Taye adds that they were 'super loved up' in the Waterhole just
hours before the accident.
..

Beverly is now in Remi's hospital room, asking if she felt any emotions at all when she saw Cara earlier. Remi says that she felt absolutely nothing and
says that this is all starting to make her feel very overwhelmed.
Cara asks Beverly where she's going with all of these questions - Beverly explains that she's just trying to get an understanding of the family dynamics.
Cara thinks that it sounds more like she's digging for dirt but Beverly simply shakes her head. Cara becomes resigned and says that she and Remi have had
their issues in the past and her wife was a bit annoyed with her the day before. Beverly says that she understands that, before Cara asks her if she's
worked out what's going on.
..

Back with Remi, Beverly says that she'll go over her notes and speak to some colleagues, and hopefully she'll have more answers after that.
At Harolds, Karl is telling Terese that she was right to speak up, though she's worried that she's just thrown a spanner in the works. Karl admits that
he can relate to what the Varga-Murphys are going through and he and Susan will have a chat with them when the time is right. Nicolette then spots them
and asks what's going on, as nobody is updating her, and Terese apologises. Karl says that Remi is with a specialist right now and suggests that Nic give
the family some space rather than going to the hospital. As Karl and Terese sit down, she checks a message she received from Paul earlier - he's on his
way back and is bringing someone with him. She shows the name to Karl, who says that it'll be lovely to see her again, but Terese is more worried about
what Krista is going to say about the mystery visitor.
..

At no. 26, Wendy and Andrew are talking about Remi and Cara's situation, and he says that it would be awful to just forget that your wife existed. He
decides against going to the hospital and says that he was thinking about going to a fishing expo in Eden Hills, but he's finding it hard to find extra
patrols to check in on Holly, who's working at the drinks van at the pavilion. Andrew is then quietly pleased when Wendy suggests that he should go and
check on Holly himself, just to put his mind at ease, and he heads off.
Back at the hospital, Beverly asks Remi if she's happy for the whole family to hear her diagnosis, and she agrees, saying that it affects all of them. JJ
and Dex are already by her bedside, but Taye and Cara then come in and join them. Beverly then thanks them all for answering her questions and she explains
that she has a theory about what's going on, though she stresses that it is just that: a theory. She tells Remi that, although she doesn't completely fit
the profile, she suspects that she has systematised amnesia. She explains that this is usually seen in people who've suffered serious emotional trauma, for
example childhood abuse or time in the armed forces. Cara still doesn't understand, so Beverly tells her that these people block out a difficult person or
event as a coping mechanism and she believes that Remi may have blocked out Cara as she became distressed and suffered a cognitive episode whilst talking
about her to Terese. She stresses again that this is just a theory and that the brain is very complicated, so she's also unable to answer their questions
about how long it will last and whether Remi will ever completely recover.
..

Holly is at the pavilion, working at the drinks van, unaware that Andrew is watching her from behind the trees. When Andrew receives a text message from
Wendy, Holly hears his phone and looks around, starting to worry, but then Max appears and she assumes that it was him all along. They hug and she thanks
him for coming to check up on her, as Andrew continues to watch from a distance.
At no. 30, Cara walks into the house, with Dex following closely behind. She tells him that he should have stayed at the hospital, but he and JJ have agreed
that they won't leave either of their parents alone. She smiles and sends him off outside to set up the barbecue for dinner, as Nicolette comes in to check
on her friend. Cara admits that Remi has amnesia caused by severe emotional trauma, brought on by her own wife, and she isn't sure how she's supposed to feel
about that. Nic can't see how that makes any sense, as Remi loves Cara, who's always been an amazing wife to her, but Cara is doubting that and is wondering
if there's something else going on here.
..

At the hospital, Remi tells JJ that he should go home as he's been with her all day, but he's reluctant to leave. As a way to get some time alone with his
sister, Taye sends JJ off to get them all some snacks. He then approaches Remi and asks her for the unvarnished truth about how she's feeling - she explains
that everyone is telling her about this amazing life that she can't remember and it feels like gaslighting. Taye insists that they're telling her the truth,
but Remi just sinks down further into her bed, unable to understand what's going on.
At no. 30, Cara is listing all of the trauma she's brought into the marriage over the last few years - Phillipa, the Linwells, her fall and hysterectomy,
her police career and Bowman - and she believes that she literally knocked herself out of her own wife's head after colliding with her. Nicolette warns her
not to go down that rabbit hole, but Cara points out that she's done so much damage to Remi that her brain has rewritten her life to remove her own wife from
it. As Cara becomes increasingly tearful, Nicolette hugs her.
..

At the drinks van, Holly is locking up and leaving, but she again gets the sense that someone is watching her. Beginning to panic, she goes to call her dad
but then changes her mind and tries Andrew. As his phone starts ringing nearby, she notices him and he tries to leave but she goes after him, asking what he's
doing. He tries to claim that he was just passing but she realises that he's the reason why she's been so on edge these past few days, feeling that she
wasn't alone. He apologises but she won't accept it and reminds him that he made her feel like she was wasting police time when she asked for help. He
apologises again and tries to explain that he wanted to make sure that she was safe but she tells him that honesty and consistency would make her feel
safe, not him hiding in the bushes. She orders him to make up his mind, wanting to know if he cares about her or not...
