Judge Karen Austin presided over the case of jewel thief Kev Kelly, but was not impressed when the court was kept waiting by key witness Larry ‘Woody’ Woodhouse, who was becoming increasingly concerned about his safety should he give evidence. He was eventually found and presented his evidence against Kev, at which point the defendant starting shouting out threats against Woody. Judge Austin threatened to find Kev Kelly in comtempt, whilst Woody was forced to go into witness protection.
