After deciding to quit high school and apply for a job as a teller at Pacific Bank, Danny Ramsay was confident after doing well in the tests, but left stunned when senior teller Des Clarke informed him that another applicant, Alex Baxter, had been chosen for the job by the manager. However, when cocky Alex found himself clashing with another of the tellers, Des’ cousin, Sarah Richards, she voiced her disapproval and, when Alex blurted out that he’d been offered other jobs and didn’t have to stand around being insulted, Des accepted his resignation. And before he’d had a chance to take his old school books out of the bin and dust them off, Danny was offered the job and happily accepted.
