After losing his driver's licence, plumber Max Ramsay went through a succession of new assistants, who also had to be able to drive the van for him, including Jason Burke. Though Max ended up getting stressed out by Jason's erratic driving, he was in no position to complain. However, when Jason then asked if he could finish early, as he had a date to go to, Max was annoyed and reminded Jason that he'd agreed to work until 5.30. Not prepared to back down, and getting sick of Max and his attitude, Jason decided to quit the job, with Max's son Danny forcing Max to hand over the money that Jason was owed for the day.
