Lived: Sonya's Nursery

After struggling to conceive a baby of their own, Toadie and Sonya's situation started to badly affect their lives. When Sonya's old friend Astrid Quinn visited her and asked her if she could look after a young wombat, Clancy, whose mother had been hit by a car and killed, Sonya agreed and channelled her maternal instincts into looking after Clancy, breaking down in tears as she cuddled and fed him. After Astrid came to take the wombat back to the animal rescue centre, Toadie and Sonya decided to think about getting a pet of their own, in the hope that it would fill the gap in their lives in some small way.
