Clancy 2017-

When Shane Rebecchi and his family moved to Erinsborough from the country town of Bourke, New South Wales, youngest daughter Kirsha was upset as she was forced to leave behind her beloved pet dog Clancy, with her parents claiming that a country dog wouldn't enjoy being in the city - though Kirsha's mum Dipi felt that the dog was a bad influence and was glad to split them up. When Clancy then appeared in the back garden of 32 Ramsay Street one day, Kirsha felt that it was a miracle, and that her dog had made his way from the Maguires' farm to Erinsborough all on his own. The truth soon came out, however - Shane, worried about how his daughter was coping, had arranged for his friend Dominic to bring the dog with him on a trip down to the city, explaining that the Maguires were happy to be rid of the excitable animal.

Whilst Kirsha was delighted to have Clancy back by her side - even going as far as sleeping in the shed with him when she didn't want to go to a sleepover at Tia Martinez's house - the rest of the family found him a handful, as he caused chaos by sabotaging Shane's latest invention, a remote-controlled lawnmower. He also managed to upset the family's celebration of Rakhi - a Hindu festival celebrating the bond between siblings - when Dipi's sister Mishti decided to use the opportunity to get her family to be more open with each other, by handcuffing them all together. Although the plan seemed to have brought the family back on track, it all ended in disaster when they realised that Clancy had eaten the keys to the handcuffs.
