Digger 2007

The old dog belonging to pensioner Norm Hastings, Digger was brought to see vet Steve Parker and diagnosed with a tumour. Though Steve was able to operate, he explained to son Riley – who had recently dropped out of a vet sciences degree – that the procedure would be expensive and he wasn’t sure Norm could afford it. Unable to see an animal in such pain, Riley offered to do the operation for nothing and Digger pulled through.
