After being charged with the manslaughter of Chris Knight, Steve Parker attended his bail hearing, which was successful and he was allowed to go home until his trial. However, an article in the Erinsborough News was proclaiming Steve to be a murderer and soon his name was dirt and he received dirty looks from strangers, including Howie, a customer in the General Store.
