Dave Edwards was one of the players at a dodgy poker game arranged by Robbo Slade, with Lucas Fitzgerald and Trev Barnett the other two at the table. Former gambling addict Lucas was unaware that the cards were marked and he was being conned, and after a big win, he continued to go back, and ended up owing Robbo $10,000 - and with serious debts already piling up at home, he had no way to pay it.
