Guest Character Profiles > Trev Barnett Dan Quigley

Trev Barnett 2012, 2013, 2015
Occupation: Timber Supplier, Recycling Truck Driver

After buying into her boyfriend Kyle’s handyman business, in a last-ditch attempt to save their troubled relationship and prove she was with him for the long-haul, Jade Mitchell found that her practical skills were somewhat lacking. Following all of their recent problems, Kyle was reluctant to say anything, but when Jade noticed that they were being overcharged for timber by supplier Trev Barnett, she warned Trev that they’d take their business elsewhere unless they got a discount from him. He finally agreed, and Kyle was happy that Jade had found a way that she could contribute to the business, without getting in his way at the yard.

The following year, Trev was delivering some timber to Kyle's yard, but Kyle had damaged his eyesight after looking directly into the sun during the eclipse, and so he sent along his housemate Chris Pappas to take the delivery instead. They were offered a hand by a passing Lou Carpenter, who insisted that he could manage to carry some of the wood, but ended up in hospital after hurting his back. Later that year, Trev was one of the players at an underground poker game, organised by Robbo Slade. Though Trev ended up taking home some money, fellow player Lucas Fitzgerald wasn't as lucky, and ended up owing Robbo another $6000 by the end of the game.

A couple of years later, Trev was now working for the council, driving a recycling truck, and was approached by Kyle and his new assistant Amy. Amy had accidentally thrown away a teddy bear belonging to Nell, the two-year-old daughter of her housemates Sonya and Toadie, which the young girl had hidden in a cardboard box. With Nell struggling to sleep without it and everyone at their wits' end, Amy begged Trev to let her retrieve it from the back of the truck, even showing him a photograph of the little girl he would be disappointing, but Trev flat out refused.
