Robb Glover 1993

When Gaby Willis and Wayne Duncan went away on a camping trip in the mountains, they stopped at a store on the way to pick up some supplies. Outside, Robb Glover and his mates started hassling Gaby, only for her to tell them that she was interested in men, rather than boys and getting in the car with Wayne. As the car pulled away, Robb said that she was just a stuck-up piece of skirt, and he would teach her a lesson. As the trip progressed, Wayne realised that Gaby wasn’t at all comfortable roughing it and was only doing it to make him happy, but he was alarmed when, after going for a two-hour hike, he returned to find Gaby gone, but in time to see a car driving away and he feared the worst when he spotted a blood-stained knife on the ground.

When he drove up to the road to find a phone and get help, he spotted what he thought was the same car, with Robb in the driver’s seat. However, when Wayne finally managed to get Robb to pull over, he insisted that he knew nothing about Gaby and had been working at his uncle’s roadhouse all morning. When Wayne finally got to a phone, he called the police and arranged to meet them at the ranger’s hut, only to find Gaby was already there. She apologised and explained that, when Wayne left for his walk, she had been cutting some wild flowers, when the knife slipped. At the same time, the ranger had been passing and arrested her for taking the flowers but, after realising how bad her injury was, he took her to the hospital to have it dressed, then back to the hut. Wayne was relieved, though left embarrassed when the police turned up expecting a murder case.

Notes: Timothy Clarke returned as Haydon Jennings later in 1993.
