Hospital counsellor Alan Graham was assigned to speak to Alex Kinski when he was diagnosed with an aggressive form of leukaemia, giving him only months to live. Although Alex told Alan that he understood that death was inevitable and he wasn’t in denial, he went on to explain that he had not accepted it in this case, as others had managed to beat the disease and that, by remaining positive, he would join them.
