Having agreed to attend the hospital ball with new girlfriend Georgia, Kyle Canning's new suit was delivered by Jed Green. However, Georgia had been suspended from her work as a nurse, after losing the keys to the medicine cupboard and finding that some drugs had gone missing, and when Kyle arrived in his suit to visit her, she told him that she didn't want to go to the ball. Instead, Kyle arranged a more intimate ball, with just the two of them at his house, and it succeeded in cheering her up, until her cousin Toadie arrived and told her that she'd been fired from her job.

The following year, Jed delivered some oranges to the juice bar at Sonya Rebecchi's nursery, but it wasn't until Sonya had accepted and signed for the delivery that she realised she was getting 3000 oranges instead of 300. Initially, Sonya believed that the order had been sabotaged by her husband Toadie's new executive assistant Naomi, after Naomi's mum Sheila suggested that her daughter was trying to distract Sonya and make a move on Toadie. However, it later turned out that the mix-up was actually the fault of the supplier, and both Sheila and Sonya were left feeling foolish for doubting Naomi.
