After seeing print-outs of Dr Karl Kennedy's prospective internet dates on the hospital printer, nurse Georgia Brooks decided to try and find him a better date, asking patient Barbara if she'd be interested. Karl reluctantly agreed to the idea, despite the whole thing coming dangerously close to breaking hospital protocol, and met her at Charlie's bar. Karl was alarmed to realise that Barbara was a regular patient of his, and something of a hypochondriac, and as she told him of her various joint problems and other ailments, he was slightly annoyed, but secretly relieved, when Tash Williams called him from the other side of the bar, explaining that there had been a malaria outbreak at the hospital and he'd have to leave immediately.
