When Boyd Hoyland began work as a gym instructor, one of his colleagues was Todd Handel, who did a good job of encouraging the impressionable young man into keeping an eye on his diet. Although Todd had good intentions as he helped his new friend to prepare a dietary plan, it soon became an obsession for Boyd, who developed bulimia as a result.
