When Georgina, or George as she was known, found out about Lana Crawford coming out as a lesbian at school, she plucked up the courage to ask her out. She left a hand-written note in Lana’s locker, asking her to the end-of-year school formal. At first, Lana thought George was a guy and was confused, but intrigued enough to go along to the formal with her friends. Halfway through the night, George plucked up the courage to introduce herself and the two girls quickly bonded, dancing together for the rest of the night, then getting some time alone, sitting by Lassiter’s Lake. Sadly though, they meet only a couple of weeks before Lana was set to emigrate to Canada with her family. And so, after a short, but sweet, relationship, Lana said a final goodbye to George during her farewell party on Ramsay Street. They didn’t know if they’d ever see each other again, but Lana was just happy to have made George feel less alone in the world.
