Dr Stevie Hart 2019, 2021, 2024, 2025
Occupation: Obstetrician, Medical Director at Erinsborough Hospital
After allowing
Mark Brennan to believe that he was her unborn baby's father, the truth eventually came out that the father of
Elly Conway's child was
Shaun Watkins. The pair then attended an appointment with Elly's new obstetrician, Dr Stevie Hart, together.
The appointment went well and
Elly was relieved to learn that everything was fine with the baby. Later in the year, she attended another appointment, this time with
Chloe Brennan, who she had just started dating. As Elly got excited over the baby, and declined to find out the gender, Chloe struggled with knowing
her place in Elly's life at this important moment.
A couple of years later,
Nicolette Stone attended her eight week scan with Dr Hart, bringing along the baby's co-parents, Stevie's colleague
Dr David Tanaka, and his husband,
Aaron Brennan. A couple of months later, Nicolette was pushed over after finding
Holden Brice robbing The Hive,
and left injured after a shelving unit fell on top of her. She was rushed to hospital, where Dr Hart reported to her worried family that she'd
suffered a cervical laceration and an amniotic fluid embolism, which carried risks, which were mostly manageable. Having recovered from her
injuries, Nicolette suddenly disappeared from Erinsborough only weeks before her due date, feeling pressure over the baby and having just found
out that her fiancee Chloe had cheated on her. With no idea where she'd gone, an increasingly desperate David ended up going to speak to Dr Hart,
asking her if she knew where her patient had gone. As she insisted that she couldn't break patient confidentiality, David became more upset until
Aaron turned up and managed to get David to leave with him, apologising to Dr Hart for his behaviour as they went.
By 2024, Dr Hart was the Medical Director of Erinsborough Hospital. She attended a surprise party at the Waterhole for
Dr Karl Kennedy, who was leaving
the hospital after working there for more than two decades. After
believing that everyone had forgotten, Karl was delighted with the surprise, and Stevie also celebrated with her colleague
Dr Remi Varga-Murphy, who had
just heard that she had been promoted to Senior Medical Officer.
After Remi's son Dex was hospitalised by an unidentified poison, she and wife Cara were shocked to learn that Dr Gavin Bowman, who
was treating Dex, had made inappropriate comments about them at Karl's party. They requested that Dex be treated by a different doctor, leaving
Gavin furious.
When Remi then caught Gavin looking at Dex's medical file, despite being replaced as his doctor, she decided to go to Stevie and report it. He then made more
suggestive comments, then complained to Remi that she was launching a smear campaign against him, and that women like her were always looking for something
to be offended about. Remi then went to Stevie with these new remarks, and Stevie insisted that the hospital were taking all of these complaints against Gavin
seriously and that she too had been a victim of his, but he was clever and always made sure that nobody else was around to hear. She then told Remi that
Gavin had come to her with a theory about Dex's poisoning, which might be worth listening to. When Remi heard him out, she realised that he was right and
after a few injections, Dex's health improved. Though grateful for his work, and unable to deny that he was a very good doctor, Remi told Gavin that she
would never see him as a good person.
Several weeks later, a brawl at Warrinor Prison led to an influx of prisoners in the hospital, with Remi called in to help. After learning that one of the patients
was in serious condition with a stab wound to the abdomen, she was horrified to realise that it was Felix Rodwell, father of her son, JJ, who the family had
hoped never to see again. Realising that she needed to make her family aware, Remi asked Stevie if she could take over Felix's care due to the personal connection.
Felix was then taken into surgery for an operation to repair a tear in his bowel as the Varga-Murphy and Rodwell families tried to decide whether they wanted
him back in their lives. Soon after, when a teddy bear was left on the ward by a visiting child, Remi confided in Stevie that Cara had admitted that she'd like them to
have another child. Though Remi had initially been against the idea, she then admitted that she was coming around to it, with Stevie suggesting that Remi and
Cara needed to have a serious conversation. This resulted in them deciding that Cara should undergo fertility tests to see if it was even still a viable
option.
A few weeks later, Remi was immediately thrown when Cara was brought in as an emergency patient, having fallen from a ladder at Lassiters Hotel and landed on
some jagged metal guttering. As well as a potential head injury, it looked like there might have been damage to several of her organs, and Remi was terrified
as Stevie came in and quickly took over the case as Cara was wheeled away for surgery. After a long wait, Remi was joined by Stevie, who explained that Cara
had flatlined during the surgery but they quickly got her back and she was now stable, but still unconscious. As Remi then sat by her wife's bedside, she
immediately started to panic when Cara opened her eyes but was unresponsive. As she immediately assumed that Cara had suffered brain damage, Stevie told her
to calm down, reminding her that this was perfectly normal and that they were a long way from the diagnosis of brain damage. A few hours later, Cara opened
her eyes, immediately making a joke about how terrible Remi was looking, and Stevie was relieved to walk in and find that things were looking a lot more
positive.
A few weeks later, Stevie looked after Sadie, Max and Sebastian when a car deliberately drove at them on Power Road. Whilst Max and Sadie escaped with a
few cuts and bruises, Sebastian was left with a fractured collar bone, whilst the driver of the car was left unconscious. When Krista worried that her
friend Sebastian had been the target, as he owed money to loan sharks, Stevie confirmed to her that the police had found pictures of Seb on the driver's
phone.
