When Gino Esposito was auditioning for his new musical, he was joined by Ed Holloway. Although Ed was extremely impressed by auditionee Ned Parker, Gino wasn’t quite so sure. When Corey Helpmann then came through the door, it was love at first sight for Gino, and, despite the fact that Corey’s singing was second rate, and Ed thought he was quite terrible, he was given the lead role.
