Town planning inspector Peter Holloway was contacted by salon owner Gino Esposito when one of his former employees, Lyn Scully, started seeing hairdressing clients at home. When Peter turned up at her home, Lyn showed him the renovations that were underway in her spare room, and lied that she hadn’t seen any clients yet. She handed him all of the application forms, but Peter explained that he wasn’t a fool and knew that she’d already been seeing clients. He warned her that he could fine her, but would let her off as she clearly had good intentions but had simply jumped the gun, and she agreed not to see any more clients under she had been granted council approval. A few months later, Harold Bishop received a visit from Peter at his Coffee Shop. Harold was confused as to why his shop was suddenly being so thoroughly inspected, until he realised that it was because he had successfully fought a council decision to have Ramsay Street’s name changed to Ramsbottom Street.
