The snooty head concierge at Lassiter’s hotel, Charles Blair informed fellow hotel employee Toadie Rebecchi that they would be having a celebrity staying, and it was Toadie’s job to track down a king-size bed sheet made of hemp for her. Once she arrived, Charles told Toadie to be calm and discrete around her, but Toadie immediately told his neighbour Joe Scully about the famous guest, and Charles was furious to find a group of fans waiting for her outside the hotel. Charles gave Toadie a chance to repair the damage by looking after the famous woman’s poodle, Kiki, which he promptly lost. Fortunately, he managed to save his job by tracking the dog down, back to Ramsay Street, where Kiki was busy befriending Toadie’s pet dog, Bob.
