Whilst babysitting his baby nephew Ben, Darcy Tyler was alarmed to notice a snake in the lounge room, working its way towards Ben’s cot. Fortunately, new neighbour, Stuart Parker was passing. Stuart had moved to Erinsborough from the country town of Oakey and was used to seeing snakes, so had little problem picking it up and taking it home. He kept it in a tank in the kitchen and named it Howard, but it was only a matter of days before Howard escaped, leaving the neighbours on snake alert for several days afterwards.
