Bert Howie 2005

After a successful evening for Scarlet Bar owner Izzy Hoyland at the hospitality awards, her father Bobby took her out for an evening of gambling. They ended up at a back street gambling den, where Bert Howie ran two-up games and Bobby had a string of wins, much to his daughter’s surprise. After spending all evening betting on heads, Bobby put his final bet, of $2000, on tails and won. The next morning, after winning $10,000 that evening, Bobby announced that he was going to donate it to his daughter-in-law, Steph, so that she could fund an appeal against charges that she’d assisted the death of her grandfather.

Notes: Bruno Stepnell previously played Dermott Wilson in 2003.
