Desperate for money to pay off gambling debts, Dr Darcy Tyler was forced to visit a loan office, where the woman behind the counter, Sally Jessup, asked him to hand over his driver’s licence and a credit card, then take a seat. Not long after, she called out ‘Dr Tyler’ much to his embarrassment and informed him that he’d been approved for a loan of $8000. Though he needed much more than that, he was forced to settle for what he could get.
