When Tad Reeves starting attending an adoption support group, he was shocked when another group member, Rachel, began to share her life story. He realised that she had the correct age, name and circumstances to be the birth mother he’d heard about from the adoption agency. Tad decided to confront the woman after the next group session. Following an evening in which Tad shared his own story, he finally told Rachel about the thoughts he’d been having. As he poured his heart out to her, Rachel agreed that the coincidence was remarkable. However, she went on to explain that her partner had died in an industrial accident, while Tad’s father, Greg, had been killed whilst on his motorbike. Before leaving, Rachel assured him that she hoped that, when she eventually did find her son, he’d he a little like Tad.
