When former teacher Angus Henderson was released from prison, after entering into a relationship with one of his high school students, Rachel Kinski, he and Rachel decided to resume their relationship, but as the couple arrived at her home in Ramsay Street, they were met by journalist Elle Robinson and photographer Shaun Kelly from the Erinsborough News. The press continued to hound them during their time in Erinsborough, and were outside the school waiting when Angus accompanied Rachel to her parent teacher evening, a confrontation which led Angus to push Shaun away, and made the couple realise that they had to leave town, though in the end Rachel couldn't bring herself to walk away from her family, and Angus went to South Australia alone. A couple of weeks later, editor Paul called on Shaun again to take some photos of Pete Ferguson, a criminal who was suing the hospital, after nurse Nicola West took his blood for testing without his consent. Though Paul was eager to go ahead with a front page story, Elle convinced him that he was leaving himself wide open to a lawsuit, so he backed down, angering Pete in the process.
