When Woland Koroviev arrived on the doorstep of 24 Ramsay Street, claiming to be from the Russian embassy and needing to speak to Lou Carpenter’s Russian girlfriend Mishka Schneiderova about her fake passport, nobody thought anything of it. After questioning her, Woland agreed to take Mishka back to the embassy to fill in some paperwork which would allow her to stay with her beloved Lou, but, when she failed to return, Lou contacted the embassy and they claimed never to have heard of Woland. Lou quickly realised that the whole thing had been a plot by Mishka’s jealous husband, Igor, to get her home to Russia.
