After being questioned over the hit-and-run of Robbo Slade, lawyer Toadie Rebecchi was already feeling quite despondent when his wife, Sonya bumped into one of his clients, Margaret Leeds, outside his offices. Sonya had convinced Toadie to take the afternoon off, worried about his stress levels, and when Margaret explained that she'd heard, through a friend at the West Waratah Star newspaper, about Toadie being charged, Sonya tried to explain that he'd only been questioned. Margaret then said that she'd just come to get her files, to pass them on to a new lawyer, and Sonya told her that Toadie was currently on a big case in the city, but asked if Margaret would give him a chance to explain the following day, before she changed her representation. Margaret agreed, but later, she bumped into Sonya again, and this time she was with Toadie, as they took part in a community treasure hunt. It was the final straw for Margaret and, as Sonya tried to apologise, she asked that Toadie send her files on to her new lawyer.
