Lennie
Lennie 2008-2013
Lived: 28 Ramsay Street
When his daughter Libby got engaged, skinflint Karl Kennedy started planning ways to save money for the
ceremony, including growing his own flowers and buying a pig that could be used for the catering. Though Libby's son, Ben grew attached to the pig, calling it 'Babe' and trying to help it escape, Karl pressed ahead with
his plan. But when, as with many of Karl's previous pets, the pig 'accidentally' escaped, a search began, with returning neighbour Harold Bishop finding the animal in the street. And, soon enough, Lennie was joining
the menagerie of pets at the Kennedy-Kinski house, which already included a sheep, a turtle, a dog and a galah.
Lennie remained a part of the Kennedy family for five years, but in 2013, he and Chop the sheep pushed through the fence into number 26, destroying Sheila Canning's veggie garden. Having
already had enough of the noise and the smell from Karl's menagerie, she demanded that something be done. When Susan then 'accidentally' left the side gate open the next day, and both Lennie and Chop escaped, Karl
realised that they might be happier with a bit more freedom, and agreed that they could go and live on a hobby farm in the country.
