Chop 2006-2013
Lived: 28 Ramsay Street

Whilst visiting his father, Tom, who later had to be put into a care home after showing signs of Alzheimer’s disease, Karl Kennedy, and his ex-wife, Susan, found a lamb trapped in one of the barns with a snake. Susan encouraged Karl to rescue the animal, but once inside the barn, he struggled to both watch the snake and grab hold of the lamb, so Susan joined him, grabbed the lamb and left, as Karl watched the snake disappear down a crack in the ground. However, as he then turned his back, the snake returned and Karl was forced to bid a hasty retreat. Outside, Karl and Susan realised that the lamb would need a new home and agreed that it would make a perfect replacement for the Kennedy family’s sheep, Casserole, who had died the previous week. Back in Ramsay Street, Susan introduced the lamb to her step-children, Rachel and Zeke Kinski, and they decided to keep up the tradition by naming her Chop.

In 2013, Chop and Lennie the pig managed to break through the fence and get into the back garden of number 26, where they destroyed Sheila Canning's veggie garden. Sheila quickly made it clear that she wanted something done about Karl's animals, as they were too big, noisy and smelly to be kept in a domestic back garden. Though Susan was keen to be able to use her garden again, Karl was reluctant to lose the animals, especially Chop, who had brought him and Susan back together all those years ago. However, the next day, Susan 'accidentally' left the side gate open one morning, and the sheep and pig escaped again, later to be found by Lassiter's lake. Karl then agreed that they could go somewhere with more space to roam free, and they were given to a hobby farm in the country.
