After Kyle Canning built a race car bed for the hospital to give to a child who was coming out of hospital after a long stay, he found that there was interest in his designs from a furniture company. He built a prototype to show the rep, Amanda Lim, who came to see him, but her feelings about his work were unclear during her short visit. When she later returned for another look, she admitted that she was undecided between Kyle and another designer. However, when Kyle's dog Bossy jumped onto the bed, Amanda immediately fell in love with her and told Kyle that he'd got the job - as the other applicant was more of a cat person!
