After his guardian, Toadie, realised that he was struggling to cope, Callum Jones was sent to Ballarat to live with his aunt, Robyn Lovell, and her son, Hayden, on their farm. However, Toadie soon realised that he’d made a mistake, but when he went to visit Callum, Robyn assured him that the boy was happy and settling in well. But as Callum sat in the garden with Hayden, feeding baby goats, he announced that he was unhappy and wanted to go home – a scene that Toadie only witnessed from a distance, wrongly believing that Callum was happy in his new life.
