After his nephew, Darcy Tyler, acted as locum at his surgery, Karl Kennedy was shocked to be the victim of an audit, after Darcy over-charged a patient and they complained. The initial audit was conducted by Helen Lucchese, who found that Darcy had made other mistakes, primarily putting the wrong date on three patient’s receipts. Due to this, a full audit of both Karl’s surgery and Darcy’s former practice was called for, and, although they were cleared of all charges, the incident put a huge strain of Karl’s friendship with his nephew.
