Ralphie Mahone 2013
After agreeing to service the Lassiter's fleet, in the hope that the garage could
win back the contract with the hotel, mechanic Chris Pappas ended up suffering a panic attack whilst returning one of the cars and
scraping it on a skip. As he hasn't informed his boss, Lucas that he'd approached Lassiter's, Chris decided to turn to dodgy mechanic
Ralphie Mahone to help fix the damaged car. The plan worked, but when Ralphie then started demanding full payment of $600 for his work, Chris was unable to pay, and
Ralphie instead asked him to do some illegal work on cars for him, to pay back the debt. When Lucas found out, he insisted that they get the police involved, having dealt
with Ralphie before and knowing that he was trouble. But when Ralphie realised he'd been double-crossed, he returned and threatened Chris, only for them to be interrupted
by Erinsborough newcomer Mason Turner, who warned Ralphie off. Looking for work, Mason said that he'd deal with Ralphie, if Chris in return
would put in a good word with Lucas and, seeing no other way out, Chris agreed. When Ralphie later caught up with Chris, he told him that he'd had a lucky escape, but that
Mason had set him up with some storm damaged cars from up north, so he considered all debts now repaid and forgotten about.
