When Marco Silvani was rejected by Carmella Cammeniti, he decided to get as far away from Erinsborough as possible, and so packed up and took a job working on the Martin Winery out in Western Australia. After Marco had been there for a couple of days, winery owner Cathy noticed that Marco was very quiet, unwilling to discuss why he'd left Melbourne but admitted that he was an excellent worked and, as long as he wasn't running from anything illegal, she was happy to employ him for as long as he wanted. Following on from that, Cathy had a 12-month contract drawn up, in the hope of keeping Marco in her employment, but realised that he still had issues to work through and told him to think hard about it before signing. Thinking there was no hope with Carmella, he was on the verge of signing when he suddenly decided to call her and she begged him to come home, so he was forced to let down Cathy and return home to Erinsborough.
