Having put off her pap smear test due to her fear of it, Pepper Steiger was embarrassed when her boyfriend Adam Rhodes, friend Carmella Cammeniti and former doctor Karl Kennedy all urged her to have it – with Karl eventually booking an appointment for her at the hospital. Pepper reluctantly went along, with Carmella and her sister, Rosie, as moral support but panicked when male doctor Dylan Masters called her in, though, after a short hesitation, she finally had the test done and was worried when she was then called in to speak to the doctor, as they had found some abnormalities. Pepper was informed that she had cervical dysplasia and would require a minor operation, though, with further monitoring, should have nothing to worry about.
