An old friend of Karl Kennedy’s from medical school, John McGill was the surgeon called upon to operate on Karl’s daughter, Libby, when she was involved in a motorbike accident. After the operation, John was forced to break the news to Karl that although Libby was stable and out of the critical zone, she had a rupture in the uterine artery, which could jeopardise her chances of having children.
