After an accident with Joe Scully’s ute, Lou Carpenter managed to lose his driving licence temporarily. When it came to taking his test again, he was paired up with formidable examiner Patricia McKay. After beginning the session late, Lou then proceeded to brag about his high-speed driving in the outback. To top it all off, Lou was then busy waving to his friend, Merridy Jackson, lost control of the car and ended up on the pavement. Patricia promptly failed him, leaving Lou to take driving lessons.
