Whilst trying to help Freya Wozniak to track down her missing boyfriend, Gareth Bateman, police officer Levi Canning went to an abandoned house, where a tracking app had located Gareth's phone. Unfortunately, as he scoped out the house, Levi found himself with a gun pointed at him by Joel Park. When Levi explained that he was looking for Gareth, and that the phone tracking app had shown him to be there, Joel explained that he'd just got out of prison and had bought the phone at the South Melbourne Market, believing that it was clean. Worried that Levi was going to arrest him again, Joel continued to point the gun at him, and it was only when Freya came by the house to do some snooping of her own that Levi was given the distraction he needed to disarm and arrest Joel. Although they hadn't managed to track down Gareth, the incident did give Freya and Levi a new lead and, a few days later, they visited the South Melbourne Market to find the person who'd sold the phone to Joel.
