Lassiters housekeeping staff Sandy Phillips was sorting through the lost property with colleague Katrina Marshall one day, when they were spotted by Reece Sinclair, whose family were investors in the hotel. Reece watched as Katrina held up a sun necklace, joking about keeping it for herself - but Reece clearly recognised the sun and rushed back to her hotel room, where she took out a matching moon necklace.

A couple of years later, Sandy was amongst a group of Lassiters staff who were gathered in reception, laughing at something on their phones. When recently-appointed assistant manager Zac Willis told them all to get back to work, Sandy approached him and showed him the video they were all looking at - a pornographic film that had been taped in the hotel lift. Zac quickly realised that the video, which was themed around two people in tennis gear, was a copycat of one he'd been involved with at his previous job at Lassiters in Darwin. Though his face wasn't shown, some people had worked out that it was him and had started blackmailing him, forcing him to move across the country. With people now approaching him at his new job, wanting freebies and upgrades at the hotel, and with the new video now circulating, he realised that it was going to be difficult to escape his past.
