When Janelle Timmins, along with her two daughters, Janae and Bree, were fleeing the repo man, and heading to Canberra for Bree’s appearance in the national spelling bee, they were stopped by country cop Jim Scott for speeding. As he approached the car, he also pulled Janelle up because Bree wasn’t wearing her seatbelt, , but Janelle took the opportunity to rant about how difficult it was being a single mother. Her outburst did the trick, as Jim gave her an official warning but no speeding ticket.
