When David Bishop was elected to local council, he started socialising with people like Ronnie Sharp. An astute businessman, Ronnie attempted to convince David of the benefits of investing in petonics. Against the wishes of his wife, Liljana, David decided to part with some money. Soon after, David’s association with Ronnie paid off when, during a game of golf, he was offered a consulting position with Ronnie’s new mortgage broking firm. Unfortunately, the golf clashed with a debate that David’s daughter, Serena, was taking part in. This was the final straw for Liljana, who suggested a trial separation.
