After spotting hotel owner Paul Robinson with a mystery hotel guest, Lassiter's manager Terese Willis attempted to find out what was going on. When she later saw Paul and the guest behind the reception desk, Terese demanded to know what was going on. Paul introduced her to Nigel Sheppard, the Head of Acquisitions for the Quill Hotel Group, who, he explained, were in talks to buy Lassiter's and make it part of their chain.
