When Sonya Mitchell’s violent ex, and father of her son Callum, Troy Miller returned to town, determined to start spending time with Callum. After goading Sonya’s partner Toadie into punching him, and managed to get a restraining order, and start a court case for access to his son. When Callum then started spending time with his dad, in an effort to get him to drop the case and the order, Sonya was horrified, and after a tense stand-off at Troy’s house with Troy, Sonya and her sister Jade, Jade pushed him and, trying to go after her, he fell and hit his head. Toadie called the police, but by the time Constable Silver arrived, Troy had awoken and disappeared. Silver reminded Toadie that he had a restraining order and would have to leave the street immediately. Later, Constable Silver returned to question Jade, having received information that she assaulted Troy and was responsible for his injuries.

Several weeks later, Constable Silver was forced to question another Erinsborough local, when Chris Pappas crashed his car, which had been carrying several of his friends. After Chris admitted that the car was overloaded, and that one of the victims, Sophie Ramsay, was underage, making Chris responsible for her safety, his driving license was taken from him and he was banned from driving.
